James is a personable and inquisitive coach, building trust and looking to understand the factors that will drive development of athletes from the ground up, new to the sport or experienced athlete - James shares his knowledge to bring athletes along for.the journey.

A background in big data analytics and counter fraud, James’ entire professional background is balancing the ‘art’ and ‘science’ of counter fraud, skills he transfers directly to his coaching philosophy.

Following a life changing accident in 2022, James has gone on to become 2024 & 2025 super series winner in the para triathlon wheelchair categories and 2025 Duathlon and Triathlon champion, a recovery journey that resembles that of the best athletes.
